Next Book Back Cover

I’m gearing up to publish Syra’s Sribbles VI.

Here’s what I have so far for the back cover.

In the sixth book of the Syra’s Scribbles series, Syra finally has the big family she’s always wanted, but life is harder than she expected.  Syra shares her most vulnerable moments of despair as well as her optimism as she navigates her mother’s failing health and the challenges of raising six kids.  The first year after baby Justin’s birth is a graduate-level logistical challenge between nap times, homeschool coop classes, field trips, and parties.  Then Syra’s oldest child Esther becomes a teenager, and life is filled with middle school dances, heartbreaking hormones, and a teenage eating disorder.  As she tries and fails to be the mom who can do it all, Syra realizes that something has to give.  She looks for answers in books, asks advice from her friends, and most of all seeks help from God.  Syra questions if homeschooling is the best choice for her family and in the end must consider a drastic decision that could change everything.

Syra Divine has a master’s in mathematics from Notre Dame and teaches calculus at a small private school.  She is the author of the popular blog, “Syra’s Scribbles.”  She lives in New Mexico with her husband, her mother-in-law, and five of her children and treasures every video chat with her daughter Esther, her son-in-law John Ben, and her grandson Misha, who live so very far away.
